Registration for 2011 is now closed.
Please check back later to register for Hike for Mike 2012.
Hike for Mike, a fundraiser for the Acadia Family Center, offers participants the opportunity to engage in a healthy, outdoor activity and to learn about the trails and carriage roads in Acadia National Park while raising funds to improve the health and wellness on MDI and the outer islands.
Participants may sign up individually or in teams. A registration fee is required (children under 10 are free, but please list as a participant on the registration sheet). The first 200 registered hikers will receive a free Hike for Mike t-shirt and goodie bag. Registrations are accepted online, by mail, or in person at the final registration and hike kick-off on Saturday, October 1, at the Acadia Family Center.
Registered hikers are encouraged to secure donations for the miles they hike. All registered adult hikers with pledge commitments of $50 or more will receive free entry to the Summit Celebration on Sunday, October 9 (all children under 10 are admitted free). Visit our For Hikers section for tips on soliciting donations, and see the AFC Fact Sheet for concise talking points about Acadia Family Center.
Participants will hike or walk wherever they choose in beautiful Acadia National Park from October 1 through October 9. Keep track of your miles in your Hiker Log Book and bring it to the grand finale Summit Celebration Party on Sunday, October 9, when awards and prizes will be presented. |
